SBU officers exposed the head of regional development, urban planning and architecture sector of one of the district state administrations of the Chernivtsi region on obtaining illegal advantage.

Operatives of the special service found that the principal architect of the district for UAH 1.5 thousand bribe promised to facilitate local resident in the approval of the technical documentation for the change of the intended use of the land plot.

SBU operatives detained the official on receiving the final part of the bribe in the amount of USD 800 at his workplace.

Within the framework of a criminal proceeding initiated under Part 3 Art. 368 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, the issue of serving to the detainee a notice of suspicion is being settled.

The operation was conducted jointly with the National Police investigators under the procedural supervision of the Prosecutor's Office of Chernivtsi region.
