In the framework of combating corruption officers of the SBU exposed official of the “Plant “Generator”” state-owned enterprise on bribery.  

Operatives of the special service have found that the head of the legal department of the enterprise extorted USD 2 thousand from a private entrepreneur. Official promised businessman to speed up the approval of permits for the leasing of 500 square meters of the factory premises for the production of furniture. Ex-head of the leasing unit and the friend of the legal department head acted as intermediaries in the deal.

Law enforcement officers detained the official at the workplace on receiving the entire amount of the bribe. 

In the framework of criminal proceedings initiated under part 3 Art. 368 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, the investigations are ongoing.

The involvement of other officials of the state-owned enterprise into illegal actions is being checked.

The measures to disclose the offenders were conducted jointly with the National Police investigators under the procedural supervision of the Kyiv city Prosecutor's Office #6.
