SBU CI Department officers blocked the mechanism of appropriation of military goods from military units of the region and enterprises of the military-industrial complex.

SBU operatives established that the group consisted of six officials of one of the military units. Together with accomplices, they organized a deal on the theft of spare parts and components for armoured vehicles. Then the attackers planned illegally transport these components through the state border of Ukraine.

Counterintelligence officers conducted 11 searches in Lviv and the region at places of residence of persons, involved in criminal proceedings, as well as places of storage of military goods.

During the investigations, a considerable number of night vision equipment, radio stations, transmissions, support beams, rollers, chain tracks components, electric motors for auxiliary systems, and other parts for armoured vehicles were discovered. It was established that the serial numbers on part of the found components are damaged. In the framework of the criminal proceedings initiated under part 3 Art. 410 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, the investigations are ongoing. The special operation was carried out by the SBU Office in Lviv region with investigators of the State Bureau of Investigations Territorial Administration in Lviv city under the procedural supervision of the Military Prosecutor's Office.
