SBU officers blocked the activity of interregional organised group specialising in manufacturing and selling of psychotropic substances.

The group consisted of two residents of the capital and a resident of Volyn region. In Kyiv, in a private house of one of the involved persons they have arranged a laboratory for the production of amphetamine. The offenders sold the finished goods independently, as well as through an extensive network of dealers in the capital and other regions of the country.

According to intelligence, every week the income of drug dealers comprised in the average up to UAH 50 thousand.

Law enforcement officers detained three group members in the drug lab after manufacturing of the regular consignment of amphetamine. Also in Lutsk the accomplice of involved persons was detained. He was engaged in sale of "products" on the territory of Volyn region.  

During searches at the place of "production" and accommodation, almost 150 grams of amphetamine and 10 kg of the “phenylnitropropene” precursor were seized. Also excipients for the synthesis of psychotropic, money obtained in illegal way, and other evidence of illegal activity were detected.

The detainees were served notices of suspicion of committing a crime stipulated under Part 3 Art. 307 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

The investigative and operative actions on bringing to responsibility other persons involved in the group activities are under way.
