SBU uncovers mechanism of unsatisfactory conduct repairs by the organization for maintenance at the “Odesa” and “Kyiv” international airports of passenger planes of one of the Ukrainian airlines, which could lead to casualties.

In the framework of the pre-trial investigation, operatives of the special service documented violations of the current legislation by the officials of the airline and organization for maintenance. In particular, they forged documentation on aircraft repair works. Further use of actually defective aircraft for passenger air travels could lead to emergencies, including catastrophes with human victims.

SBU investigation helped to sentence official of the airline responsible for the maintenance of aircraft. The court's decision found his guilty of committing crime under Part 1 Art. 366 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. For the air company representative were cancelled appropriate permits for the execution of air passenger services, and for aircraft - certificates of airworthiness.  

The operation was conducted under the procedural supervision of the Prosecutor's Office.

The investigations are ongoing.
