SBU investigation helped to convict a former contractor serviceman of the Armed Forces of Ukraine for arms trafficking from the Joint Forces Operation area.

The law enforcement officers detained the suspect in Chernivtsi on an attempt to sell RPK-74 light machine gun and ammo to it.

The Court of Appeal of Chernivtsi region found the offender’s guilty in unlawful handling of weapons, ammunition or explosives and sentenced him to three years of imprisonment.

The sentence came into force.
