SBU discloses propagandists of separatism in several regions of Ukraine

The Security Service of Ukraine systematically blocks attempts to use the Internet to promote separatism. So, recently, two active supporters of the “russkiy mir” the Service had detected in Donetsk and Sumy regions.

SBU officers engaged in operation of the Joint Forces have exposed the propagandist, who acted in the interests of the so-called “DNR” in Donetsk region.

According to the investigation, a resident of Mariupol has regularly posted separatist content on personal pages of one of the banned social networks. The posts, in particular, has contained appeals to violate the constitutional order and territorial integrity of our country. The attacker popularized the terrorist organization "L/DNR", supported the idea of secession of south-eastern regions from Ukraine.

The propagandist received destructive publications from Russian propaganda Internet hubs and the militants of illegal armed formations media sites.

The resident of Konotop (Sumy region) has acted in similar way. In particular, in social networks, a woman has agitated for the so-called "Novorossia", and also supported the idea of creating fake "Sumy People's Republic".

The law enforcement officers seized material evidence confirming criminal activity at the attackers’ places of residence.

Currently Mariupol residents have been served notices of suspicion of committing the crime stipulated by Part 1 Art. 110 of the Criminal Code. The resident of Konotop is suspected under Part 2 Art. 109 and Part 2 Art. 110 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

The investigative actions on bringing to responsibility other people involved in the illegal activity are under way.
