SBU in Voyn region prevented an attempt to illegally export a large batch of epidemiologically-purposed goods (which are prohibited for export).

Law enforcement officers stopped a truck heading to one of the EU countries at the “Yahodyn” customs post of Volyn Customs. During the customs inspection of the vehicle, the officers discovered nearly 40,000 of medical gowns made of nonwoven synthetic fibers. The organizers of the fraud tried to export the products abroad, despite the restrictions imposed by the government due to the epidemiological situation in Ukraine. The arrested batch costs almost EUR 42,000.

Within the framework of criminal proceeding initiated under P.3 Art. 358 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine the investigation is ongoing. The operation was conducted jointly with the Prosecutor’s Office of Volyn region.
