Large-scale clandestine lab producing poor-quality sanitizers was blocked by SBU in Kherson region.

SBU employees established that the clandestine lab was set up on the territory of a private company in Novotroitske City. The counterfeits goods were produced under the guise of domestic trade marks for further sale in different regions of Ukraine.

During the searches of the clandestine lab the law enforcement seized almost 8 tonnes of counterfeit sanitizers, plastic containers of different sizes, forged labels and equipment for producing sanitizers.

The seized goods were sent for examination.

The investigation upon the fact of unlawful manufacturing, storage and sale or transportation for selling purposes of excisable goods (P. 1 Art. 204 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine) is ongoing in order to establish all the circumstances of the case and to bring to justice all the persons involved into the illegal activity.

The operation was conducted by SBU Office in Kherson region, under the supervision of the Prosecutor’s Office of Kherson region.
