The SBU is ready to provide professional assistance to representatives of Ukroboronprom to ensure more efficient and transparent reform of the state concern. The SBU Head Ivan Bakanov made this statement on April 27 during a meeting with the Director General of the concern Aivaras Abromavichus and his deputies.

The Director of Ukroboronprom expressed his vision regarding the changes that he plans to introduce in the concern. In particular, he stopped at the stages of its transformation to make it a more modern structure, talked about specific steps to solve the problems of the concern and its development.

The parties agreed to continue further dialogue for effective changes in this sphere.

“Any reform should be done not for the sake of the process, but for the benefit of the state. Therefore, together we have to set new standards, clear and obvious criteria of Ukroboronprom work. The SBU is ready to provide all the necessary assistance,” Ivan Bakanov said.

Aivaras Abromavichus pointed out: “We are creating a new defense enterprise and sector corporations on the basis of transparency of the financial accountability, fair competition and intolerance to corruption. This approach should enhance the efficiency and competitiveness of the entire defense sector of the state.”
