SBU in Kropyvnytskyi blocks illegal export of protective masks
The Security Service of Ukraine in Kropyvnytskyi exposed and blocked sale of big batch of anti-pandemic goods abroad that are banned by the government for export.
SBU officers established that the resident of the regional center tried to arrange the illegal mechanism of sale of protective masks to some countries of North America and the European Union. He searched for his clients on specialized internet platforms and offered to send customers via international postal services. In order to conceal the illegal activities the dealer entered in the postal declaration false information about the sender and the contents of the postal item.
SBU officers documented three attempts to smuggle anti-epidemic items abroad.
During inspection of another parcel at the customs post “Specializovanyi” of the Kyiv Customs, the law enforcement found 3,000 medical masks, which the dealer planned to sell to foreign clients for USD 3,000.
