SBU calls on its employees and citizens to follow lockdown requirements during May holidays

The SBU calls on citizens to comply with lockdown requirements during May holidays due to COVID-19 pandemic in Ukraine.

Thanks to timely measures taken to combat infectious disease in Ukraine, joint efforts have succeeded in achieving a moderate rate of disease dissemination among the population.

By the morning of 30 April, almost 10,500 Ukrainians were infected. Daily statistics is less than 10% on the average. The most vulnerable category is the old people with comorbidities.

Several SBU officers also were infected. Therefore, we urge not only the SBU staff but all citizens to follow lockdown requirements:

-to wear protective face masks in public places and to take social distance;

-to refrain from participating in public and religious events;

-do not go outside without a need;

-do not go to parks, squares, recreation areas, forest and coastal areas, sports and playgrounds.

The attitude to lockdown requirements has an impact on our relatives’ lives and health, as well as on the duration of quarantine.
