In Zhytomyr region, the SBU identified an agit-prop who propagandized forceful take-over of the state government and foment of inter-ethnic discord.

Allegedly, a female resident of Korostyshiv town systematically published the information with calls for overthrow of the government on her Internet account. She also published the articles with discrimination content about a national minority, where she humiliated the honor and dignity of its representatives and called for their expulsion from Ukraine.

Forensic linguistic expertise has confirmed that the information published by the offender contains direct public calls for the seizure of state power in Ukraine with specific ways of realizing the criminal intent. Moreover, such publications provoke inter-ethnic hatred.

During the searches in offender’s residence, SBU officers found mobiles and computers that prove illegal activity.

The offender received a notice of suspicion for actions aimed at forceful change or overthrow of the constitutional order or take-over of government and for violation of citizens' equality based on their race, nationality or religious preferences. The type of detention is being chosen.

Investigation is ongoing.

The operation was conducted by the SBU Office in Zhytomyr region under the legal supervision of the Prosecutor’s Office.
