SBU Cyber specialists have documented the fact of an unauthorized interference in the information and telecommunication systems of the State Fiscal Service.

Within the framework of the criminal proceedings, SBU officers found that criminal group, including tax officials, illegally interposed in State Fiscal Service ITS. They manipulated, stored and processed with information, which led to leakage, forgeries, data blocking, as well as distortion of the information processing and violation of the established routing order. Furthermore, the attackers carried out illegal actions, in particular, in the databases of the ITS Tax Block, ITS Electronic Cabinet, ITS Single Window of Electronic Reporting and the United Register of Tax Invoices, as well as the system for monitoring compliance with tax invoices and adjustment calculations to the criteria for risk assessment "SMKOR." As a result, they facilitated tax evasion by enterprises served by conversion and transit groups.

During the authorized searches, law enforcement officers seized computer equipment and mobile phones.

Currently, one of the offenders was served a suspicion notice of committing the crime under Part 2 Art.361 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

The issue of choosing a preventive measure and bringing officials to responsibility is being decided.
