The Head of the SBU Ivan Bakanov paid a working visit to the SBU Office in Kirovohrad region.

The trip was aimed at assessing of the Office’s results and presenting new operational areas and approaches in the work, which should be focused on neutralization of the threats to the state.

 “The reformed SBU – is cutting-edge and effective Service, which is able to eliminate any threat at its very source. The regional Offices have to be proactive and effective team while responding the varying threats. The Service pays special attention to the threats which arise during the pandemics,” Ivan Bakanov claims.

During the meeting with the chiefs and team of the regional Office, the Head of the SBU emphasized that strategic guidelines to the reformed Service are clearly set out.

The main SBU missions are: counterintelligence, protection of state security, countering the terrorism and sabotages, cyber threats etc.

Additionally, Ivan Bakanov called a working meeting with the regional administration and chiefs of law enforcement bodies, where he focused on interaction and coordination of efforts in ensuring security and peace in the region during the quarantine.
