Thanks to the actions of the Security Service of Ukraine, almost 400 hectares of land will be returned to the Kyiv city community. The SBU documented the stage of taking the land plots out from the communal property of the territorial community of Kyiv and stopped this crime.

Within the framework of the criminal proceeding SBU established, that a criminal group was planning to take the 24 land plots out of the ownership of the territorial community through a range of illegal operations. They aimed at legalizing the fraud by re-selling the land. The land plots are located in Obolonskyi, Dniprovskyi and Darnytskyi districts of Kyiv.

SBU investigation helped to arrest the land plots worth UAH 800,000 (USD 30,000,000). So, the criminals cannot re-register or re-sell the communal property.

The pre-trial investigation is ongoing under the facts of illegal appropriation of the land by business entities with assistance of particular officials.
