The Head of the SBU Ivan Bakanov introduced the new chief of the SBU Main Directorate in Kyiv and Kyiv region Oleh Holovash.

“I believe that along with the appointment of the new chief, the work of the Directorate will be intensified. And most importantly - there will be new results. Of course, your Directorate must respond immediately and coherently to any challenges. After all, the concept of security is now gaining a new meaning,” said the SBU Head.

He called on the SBU employees to pay special attention to counterintelligence, cybersecurity, protection of the national statehood and critical infrastructure facilities, fight against terrorism and sabotage, and counteraction against hybrid warfare.

“Force guarantees security. You know my requirements for your work: we react promptly and effectively to all potential threats. The main goal is to make every citizen to feel safe. The Service must be strong,” pointed out Ivan Bakanov.

The new chief thanked for an opportunity to head the largest SBU Regional Office. He assured that the excellent professional skills and morale of the staff will help to cope with all the challenges which the Service is facing nowadays.
