SBU CI keeps on to document attempts of recruitment our compatriots by Russian special services. The servicemen, the staff of strategic military enterprises and citizens with access to state secrets in the field of security and national defense are of particular interest for Russians. These "suggestions" are often combined with falsification of criminal cases, blackmail and extortion of money.

Such methods of persuasion were applied by representatives of the hostile special service to the manager of the company that supplies and repairs military and civil aviation components. Thus, Russian FSB agents detained him, returning from business trip, at the international airport of Volgograd region. The Kyiv citizen was accused of illegally supplying military equipment for the Ukrainian Armed Forces, supporting the national fascist movement and undermining Russia's defense capabilities. The suspect was offered confidential cooperation in order to avoid punishment for fictional crimes. Moreover, he had to collect and transfer to the enemy information about military supplies for the Ukrainian army.

Subsequently, the attacker received e-mail informing that he was in Russian wanted list, allegedly for smuggling components to fighter. And now, the Ukrainian must cooperate with the FSB to settle the situation.

Such cases are typical. Therefore, the SBU once again calls on citizens to be vigilant and attentive. In addition, try to avoid traveling to Russia, temporarily uncontrolled territories of Donbas and the AR of Crimea. We remind that high treason is punishable up to 15 years of imprisonment. At the same time, citizens who have not committed any crime damaging state security and voluntarily informed law enforcement officers about the recruitment are exempted from criminal liability.
