SBU detained for the bribe a man, who offered money to a businessman to solve the "issue" of land lease in the capital through officials of the Kyiv City State Administration and deputies of the Kyiv City Council.

He demanded USD 15 thousand from the businessman for facilitating the renewal of a commercial land lease agreement in the Holosiivskyi district. According to the investigation, the malefactor involved his relative, who holds a senior position in the Kyiv City State Administration, for the transaction.

During the control over the commission of the crime, law enforcement officers documented that the man received the first part of the illegal benefit in the amount of USD 5 thousand.

Officers of the special service together with prosecutors of the Kyiv Local Prosecutor's Office №7 detained the malefactor, according to Art. 208 of the Criminal Procedural Code of Ukraine while receiving a second part of the illegal profit amounting at USD 10 thousand.

The issue of serving detainee suspicion notice and bringing to criminal responsibility of the KCSA officials is being settled.

The pretrial investigation to establish other involved persons in the transaction is under way.
