Luhansk region: SBU CI prevents Russian FSB sabotage (video)
SBU CI officers together with the CSO "A" militants in the JFO area detained Russian FSB agent who arrived from the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine to attack a critical infrastructure facility in Luhansk region.
A Ukrainian citizen was detained in the act attempting to seize the means of sabotage and 2 RPG-22 grenade launchers from a pre-prepared enemy cache.
CI officers established that the attacker had to carry out a sabotage act by blowing up 3,500 tons of ammonia tanks on the territory of PJSC Sievierodonetsk Association Nitrogen by the task of the Russian special service curators.
Moreover, SBU investigators found that the detainee is a resident of the temporarily occupied Rovenky city. Since 2014, the suspect has been involved in hostilities against ATO/JFO forces.
Experts concluded that the tank damage could have led to an environmental disaster and human death.
Consequently, the saboteur was detained in accordance with Art. 191 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine. The issues of serving him of the suspicion notice under Art. 113 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine and choosing a preventive measure are being decided. He was already wanted for committing crimes under Art. 110 and Art. 258-3 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
Urgent investigative actions are ongoing.
