SBU exposes anti-Ukrainian agitators in Zhytomyr region
The Security Service of Ukraine exposed agitators in different regions of Ukraine who were disseminating information aimed at instigation of religious and international hatred and supporting separatism.
Allegedly, a resident of Cherkasy who had previously become a member of the Union of Writers of Russia, prepared provocative materials by order of curators from Russia. The author publicly condemned the existence of one of the Ukrainian confessions in these materials. In addition, the person actively supported the leaders of the illegal armed formations of the so-called “L/DNR”.
He distributed the prepared materials on the propaganda Internet resources of Russia.
The law enforcement officers found computer equipment and flash drives with evidence of illegal activities during a search at the malefactor’s residence
According to the conclusion of the examination, the seized materials contain signs of instigation of inter-confessional and religious hatred.
The person has been served a notice of suspicion of violation citizens’ equality based on their race, nationality or religious preferences.
The exposure of the malefactor was carried out jointly with the National Police in the procedural guidance of the Prosecutor’s Office of Cherkasy region.
In Zhytomyr region, the Korostyshivskyi district court sentenced a local Internet agitator. The SBU exposed her on agitation to violent change of state power and instigation of international hatred.
The SBU investigators established that a resident of Korostyshiv had spread public destructive messages. She posted her calls on a personal page in one of the social networks.
The court found offender’s guilty of committing actions aimed at forceful change or overthrow of the constitutional order or take-over of government and violation of citizens’ equality based on their race, nationality or religious preferences, disability and other grounds.
The Internet propagandist’s account has been blocked and illegal calls have been deleted.
