Ivan Bakanov: SBU to examine audio recording of Medvedchuk-Surkov conversation
“The published audio recordings of conversations of persons identified by the media as Viktor Medvedchuk and former aide to the President of the Russia Vladyslav Surkov were put in the criminal proceedings record,” stated the SBU Head Ivan Bakanov on the air of the political talk show "Right to Power".
“Currently, this record is not proper evidence in the case. Investigators will carry out certain procedural actions, including examinations,” stressed Ivan Bakanov.
“I cannot disclose further steps regarding this recording, but as soon as it becomes possible, all the information will be officially public,” emphasized the SBU Head.
To remind, on February 20th, the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky signed a decree on the implementation of the decision of the National Security and Defense Council on the application of sanctions against Viktor Medvedchuk, seven other individuals and 19 legal entities. According to the SBU head, this decision of the National Security and Defense Council was based, in particular, on the materials of the Security Service of Ukraine.
