Luhansk region: militants shell SBU operatives with forbidden mortars
In Luhansk region, working near the contact line the SBU operatives came under fire from the so-called LNR militants. In Trokhizbenka, the operatives were collecting evidence confirming the guilt of militants in shelling civilian inhabited areas near the contact line when they were taken under the fire.
Allegedly, the militants used heavy mortars forbidden by Minsk agreements to neutralize the operatives. All members of the SBU operative group survived.
The SBU continues to collect evidence under the criminal proceedings under the fact of yesterday`s shelling of Ukrainian positions. Only in Luhansk region, this is the 64th criminal proceeding initiated by the SBU on the fact of shelling since the beginning of the year.
To note:
In Trokhizbenka, on September 8 Russian occupational military troops fired on the area of tuberculosis dispensary with a large caliber weapon forbidden by Minsk agreements. As a result of attack, six officers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were wounded.
Moreover, in Trokhizbenka the militants launched shelling with the 122-mm howitzer damaged civil facilities, apartments and private households.
The pre-trial investigation under criminal proceedings of act of terrorism is ongoing under the supervision of the Prosecutor`s Office of Luhansk region.
