How russian anti-retreat units work: convicts are shot by newly mobilized soldiers, who are shot by regular forces (audio)
This is evidenced by a new telephone conversation of russian invaders intercepted by the SSU.
‘Convicts have been brought here from prisons. They were led somewhere to the very front. And we sit here as anti-retreat squad. If someone runs backwards – we kill them. It’s like this here: we’re second - we guard the first; behind us there’s another line – you can’t go back either. So, it’s impossible to escape – your own will shoot you,’ the occupier complains.
He tells his wife that ‘according to documents’ he should not be at war at all - according to the plan he should be in training: ‘The guys called that idiotic committee of yours. They say that we are not in Ukraine. Can you imagine? ‘We are in training!’
So, if occupiers want to save their lives, we advise them the only right way: surrender to Ukrainian defenders.
