The Head of the SSU Ivan Bakanov presented department awards and insignia to the SSU officers on the occasion of the Day of the Defenders of Ukraine. The solemn meeting took place in the SSU Central Office.

‘This is a symbolic celebration for the SSU. After all, each officer takes the oath of allegiance to Ukrainian people. And this means that we will never deviate from the path of defending our country. Because it is not only a part of our national code, but also a part of professional honor and dignity. And this are the basics for the SSU officers during the combat missions’, Ivan Bakanov stressed.

He noted that despite the losses, the SSU makes the significant contribution to the defense of the country, exposing sabotage in the east, detaining militants and agents of Russian special services, countering terrorism, cyberattacks and anti-Ukrainian propaganda.

‘Protecting Ukraine is our vocation! Whatever enemy is in front of us, we always believe in victory. Our goal is a strong, prosperous and united Ukraine. And the SSU is making every effort to make this goal a reality!’, the Head of the SSU noted.
