The SSU systematically counters russian intelligence services, which, after their agent networks in Ukraine were exposed, have focused their efforts on conducting information and psychological operations and provocations. Such info- and psyops, inside Ukraine and abroad, are aimed at discrediting Ukraine on the international arena, split Ukrainian society, sow distrust in the military and political leadership. According to russia’s plan, these will have a negative impact on Ukraine’s defence capability.

According to the law, the MFA is the main executive body in charge of formulating and implementing the state policy on Ukraine’s foreign relations.
