SBU CI documented and blocked an attempt of officials of a Kyiv company in the sphere of national export control to smuggle military goods from Ukraine.

The SBU officers prevented, in particular, the illegal supply of components and spare parts for the surface-to-air missile system “Osa-AK-M” from Ukraine to a Middle East country.

To hide the fact that the goods are of military purpose, the suspect provided false information about quantitative-quality characteristics of the goods. Moreover, the components were not licensed by the State Export Control Service of Ukraine

Currently, SBU CI sent the documented materials to the pre-trial investigation body to make a procedural decision on violation of the procedure for international transfers of goods subject to state export control.
