In Donetsk region, the SSU CI exposed and dismantled an agent network handled by the Russian FSB and coordinated by a militant of ‘DNR’ IAF reconnaissance unit.

The group included Ukrainian citizens recruited on the separatist-held territory of Donetsk region and sent out to carry out reconnaissance of military positions in the JFO area for further subversive attacks.

One of the network members was apprehended and notified of suspicion of a crime under Article 258-3 (creation of a terrorist group, participation in it, supporting its activity). Detention was the chosen preventive measure. Investigation in relation to other suspects is underway.

The operation was carried out under the supervision of Donetsk Region Prosecutor’s Office.
