The SBU CI exposed and blocked the illegal activities of a group of servicemen of one of the higher educational establishments of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine. The suspects systematically embezzled large amounts of military property.

For a year, a group of university servicemen, including cadets, were stealing military property for further sale at market value via the Internet.

Within the initiated criminal proceedings, the law enforcement documented a number of facts of illegal activity of the group members.

During the searches of the suspects’ residences and places of storage of stolen property, SBU officers seized military items prepared for sale, as well as money obtained by criminal means.

The investigation is ongoing to identify all officials of the educational institution involved in the illegal activity.
