SBU establishes fact of involving Lviv resident in secret cooperation with Russian special services (video)

In the Lviv region, the SBU CI recorded the fact of recruitment of our compatriot by representatives of Russian special services.

It’s established that a Lviv resident was illegally detained by militants while visiting her relatives in temporarily occupied Donetsk under the veil of allegedly checking documents. After that, she was taken to the so-called “MDB DNR”, where she was required to agree to confidential cooperation to the detriment of Ukraine's state security. To do this, the militants used psychological pressure and threats.

According to the curators, she had to collect information for representatives of the Russian special services on the connections of family members of Ukrainian servicemen from the western regions of our country who come to the territory of the Donetsk region.

Upon arrival in the territory controlled by the Ukrainian authorities, the woman voluntarily reported the SBU Office in Lviv region about the fact of illegal detention and attempted recruitment.

SBU recalls that in accordance with the provisions of the Part 2 Art. 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, citizens of Ukraine are released from criminal liability if they did not commit any acts requested by a foreign state, foreign organization or their representatives and voluntarily reported on links with them and the received task.
