SSU served a notice of suspicion to the participant of the illegal armed formation of the so-called DNR. The offender was detained by the JFO servicemen during the attempt of covertly cross the contact line.

During the pre-trial investigation the SSU CI officers established that the detainee was in a militant tank unit, which is in charge of shooting the Ukrainian military positions.

According to the investigation, the offender joined the ranks of illegal armed groups in 2016. There he was appointed to the position of tank driver of the militant group.

Soon the perpetrator decided to return to the territory under control of Ukraine to look for a job.

Currently the detainee was served a suspicion notice of participation in a terrorist group or terrorist organization and a measure of restraint in the form of detention was chosen.

The pre-trial investigation is on-going to establish and bring to justice all the individuals involved.
