SSU exposed the leadership of one of the state enterprises of Ukrzaliznytsya JSC on corruption scheme of misappropriation of budget funds.

SSU CI documented that the offenders ordered low-quality continuous tracks for armored vehicles which failed to meet the technical and quality standards. Furthermore, the officials of the Ministry of Defense turned a blind eye to real offenses.

During the searches, the SSU seized documentation proving illegal activity and the consignment of low-quality spare parts to armored vehicles.

The experts estimated that items do not fulfill requirements listed in the tender.

The investigation of misappropriation is ongoing to prosecute those involved into illegal activity.

The operation was carried out by the SSU Counterintelligence Department and the SSU Office in Lviv region jointly with the investigators of the National Police Department in Lviv region under the supervision of the Specialized Prosecutor`s Office in Military and Defense Sphere of the Western region.
