SSU Counterintelligence prevents leakage of information on location of Kyiv Defence Forces
The SSU detained a 35-year-old resident of Kyiv, who acted in the interests of the aggressor state.
The woman with an anti-Ukrainian position collected data on the location of Ukrainian military units and strategically important critical infrastructure in Kyiv.
She passed intelligence, photos and videos with coordinates, through a specially created secure Telegram channel.
The SSU Counterintelligence detained the informant when she attempted to send more information on stationing of one of the city’s military units.
SSU investigators have informed the detainee of suspicion of crime under Article 114-2.3 of the CCU (unauthorized dissemination of information on transfer of weapons and ammunition to Ukraine, movement, transfer or deployment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine). The court is to decide on the type of detention.
The operation was carried out by the SSU Office in Kyiv and Kyiv region under the procedural supervision of Kyiv Region Prosecutor’s Office.
