In Vinnytsia region, SSU CI officers exposed and detained an FSB agent trained by terrorists in the separatist-held areas of Donbas.

The investigation established that a citizen of Ukraine joined LNR IAFs and took part in hostilities against Ukrainian Armed Forces. He was trained in a subversive group on the occupied territory of Luhansk region under control of former FSB officer, aka Dykyi.

Tasked by Russian handlers, the offender crossed into the government-controlled Ukrainian territory to carry out intelligence activity.

The SSU investigators served the detainee a notice of suspicion of high treason and participation in a terrorist organization.

Preventive measure is to be chosen.

The operation was conducted under the supervision of Vinnytsia Region  Prosecutor’s Office.
