SBU CI identified a Russian citizen who has been on the international wanted list since December 2020. According to the database of the INTERPOL General Secretariat, he is suspected of committing felonies being a member of an organized criminal group.

The detainee has already been prosecuted in Ukraine for committing serious crimes.

The court chose temporary arrest as a type of detention. The documents which accompany an extradition request shall be received to bring him to justice.

The operation was carried out jointly with the National Police Department in Poltava region under the supervision of Poltava Region Prosecutor's Office.
