SBU CI officers in the Kharkiv region detained a former deputy of the so-called "parliaments" of the self-proclaimed "republics".

It has been established that a resident of Luhansk in 2014 participated in the creation of illegal power bodies in the temporarily uncontrolled to Ukrainian government territory of Luhansk region and was involved in the adoption of the fake Constitution of LNR.

During the search of the detainee so-called LNR passport as well as registration documents were found. It was established that he was a "deputy" of the so-called People's Council and Parliament of the Union of People's Republics of L/DNR.

The leaders of the pseudo-state formation have repeatedly encouraged the offender for active subversive activities against Ukraine.

Currently, SBU investigators have served the offender suspicion notice for encroachment on the territorial integrity and inviolability of Ukraine. The issue of choosing a type of detention is being resolved.

The events were carried out by officers of the SBU Office in Kharkiv region under the procedural guidance of the Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor's Office.
