In Novoaidar district of Luhansk region, SBU CI officers detained the “LNR” militant, who was wanted nationwide on suspicion of involvement in a terrorist organization.

The perpetrator was detained by the SBU CI jointly with the servicemen of the 14th Mechanized Brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces directly on the front line near the village of Tryokhizbenka.

Allegedly, a native of Svativskyi district joined the Russian terrorist groups in late 2014. As a member of the so-called “4th Mechanized Brigade of LNR People’s Police”, he has been participating in hostilities against ATO/ JFO forces since 2015.

The SBU served the offender a notice of suspicion of terrorist act. The type of detention was chosen.

The investigation is ongoing under procedural supervision of Luhansk Region Prosecutor's Office.
