Counterintelligence of the Security Service of Ukraine exposed and detained a militant of the “LNR” terrorist organization. He arrived in the Kyiv region for legalization as an IDP.

It is established that the perpetrator served on the "People's militia of LNR" as the senior rifleman. He also maintained the military equipment of the occupying forces.

The citizen of Ukraine was served suspicion notice of committing a creation of a terrorist group or terrorist organization.

The issue of choosing a type of detention is being resolved. Investigative actions are underway.

The information on possible performance by the militant of sabotage and reconnaissance tasks in the territory under control of Ukraine is being checked.

The operation to expose the illegal activity was carried out by the SBU Office in Lviv region together with the SBU CI Department under the procedural guidance of the Lviv Regional Prosecutor's Office.
