In Chernihiv region, the SBU CI established that Army officers stole military property from their base. The offenders intended to sale stolen property to state-owned enterprises of the defense industry and abroad.

To hide the origin of the goods, the perpetrators destroyed the authentic serial numbers.

The law enforcement officers exposed a warehouse and seized the property kept there. The offenders had already sold this property and planned to export it to an Asian country.

The investigation is ongoing.

The operation was conducted jointly with the Investigative Department of the Main Department of the National Police in Chernihiv Region under supervision of Military Prosecutor's Office of Chernihiv Garrison of the Central Region.
