In Lviv, SSU officers identified a Turkish citizen who is on the international wanted list. In Turkey, he is suspected of committing a felony and threatening the life of a law enforcement officer (in particular, robbery committed by a group of people, threatening the life and health of a Turkish police officer with a firearm).

According to intelligence, the foreigner illegally stayed in Ukraine and tried to obtain residence permit to avoid criminal liability.

Halytskyi district court of Lviv city chose custody as a type of detention in order to extradite him to Turkey.

The operation was carried out by the SSU Office in Lviv region jointly with Patrol Police officers, under Lviv Region Prosecutor’s Office.
