SBU cadets participate in Independence Day Parade
130 cadets and officers of the SBU National Academy participated in the military parade on the occasion of 30th anniversary of Independence of Ukraine. The parade detachment was led by Academy Head, colonel Andrii Cherniak.
The SBU detachment includes 25 children of the ATO/JFO participants and 4 officers, who performed special duties in the East of Ukraine. All cadets are representatives of the units dedicated to the memory of the fallen SBU Heroes – CI officers Yurii Voznyi and Oleksandr Kharaberiush, special forces officers Andrii Kuzmenko and Ruslan Muliar.
For more than two months, cadets and officers of the SBU Academy have been zealously preparing for the parade, practicing march.
In general, almost 5,000 servicemen took part in the parade, including 36 detachments of the Armed Forces, security and defense forces of Ukraine, as well as partner countries.
More than 400 units of the military equipment were involved in the celebration on Khreshchatyk street. Military helicopters, fighter jets, attack planes, bombers and even the world's largest aircraft - the legendary Ukrainian Mriia - flew over the parade in Kyiv.
