The SBU exposed the fact of threatening to assasinate one of the candidates for the post of the head of Zvenigorod united territorial community and his family.

The operatives established that a local resident blackmailed the candidate via social networks. The offender was dissatisfied with the official’s public and political activities. 

During the searches of the offender’s residence, the law enforcement seized computer equipment and a mobile phone proving the fact of threatening.

The investigation is ongoing to identify and prosecute all persons possibly involved in the threatening to the subject of the election process.

The operation was conducted jointly with the National Police under the supervision of Zvenigorod Local Prosecutor's Office.
