Chernihiv region: SBU Anti-Terrorist Center finishes drills
According to the scenario of drills, which recently took place in Chernihiv region, “terrorists” have taken hostages and threatened to blow up several “explosives” at a facility with a lot of people inside. The facility is located near the state border.
The Regional Coordination Group of the Anti-Terrorist Center was responsible for the planning and implementation of special operation. The SBU regional units, the National Police, the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the National Guard, the State Border Guard Service, the State Emergency Service, the State Migration Service, and public authorities participated in the drills.
Anti-terrorist measures were taken in several stages. After negotiations, the active stage of the special operation resulted in hostages release, “explosives” disarmament and “terrorists” detention. Additionally, the consequences of their subversive activities were neutralized.
The Coordination Group of Anti-Terrorist Center analyzed each stage of the training and come up with the decision to provide the border facility management with recommendations on enhancing the security system in order to detect and block terrorist threats. Alternatively, other participants of anti-terrorist drills received additional instructions on improving the level of inter-agency cooperation.
