In Donetsk region, the SBU CI officers detained a spy of the so-called L / DNR. The offender testified about Russia's involvement in the military aggression in Donbas.

The operatives established that in 2016 a local resident joined the reconnaissance group of IAF. The group operated near cities of Dokuchaevsk, Avdiivka, Luhansk and the village of Styla.

Currently, the offender is cooperating with the law enforcement and testifying about the terrorist activity and Russia's involvement in the conflict.

The perpetrator, in particular, reported numerous cases of militants’ shelling settlements and positions of the Ukrainian servicemen. According to the pro-Russian media, the shelling was done by the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He also told about tyranny of Russian officers towards local IAF terrorists.

Currently, the SBU investigators served the offender a notice of suspicion of creation a terrorist group or terrorist organization.

The investigation is ongoing under supervision of Donetsk Region Prosecutor's Office.
