Khmelnytskyi region: SSU exposes Shariy’s follower on calls to support occupiers (video)

As a result of an operation in Khmelnytskyi oblast, the SSU detained another accomplice of the enemy.

The offender is a local resident who described himself as a representative of the pro-kremlin movement ‘Narodovlastiye’ [people’s power].

According to the investigation, he massively disseminated on the Internet calls to support russia’s armed aggression against Ukraine and justified ruscists’ crimes.

The individual called for physical extermination of Ukrainians and seizure of local government. Instead of civil and military administrations in the region, he suggested forming moscow-controlled pseudo-state institutions.

To spin destructive content, the agitator created dozens of pro-russian communities and pages in social networks.

As a primary source of content for his Internet resources, the ‘activist’ used the YouTube channel of the enemy propagandist Shariy, whom the SSU suspects of treason.

By such actions, the provocateur tried to undermine the internal political situation in the region and in this way assisted the aggressor in the war against Ukraine.

In case the oblast is captured, the campaigner expected to be appointed to a ‘position’ in the local occupation administration.

Based on the collected evidence, SSU investigators served the detainee a notice of suspicion under four Articles of the CCU:

  • 109.3 (actions aimed at forceful change of constitutional order or seizure of state power);
  • 111-1.1, 111-1.6 (collaboration);
  • 161.1 (violation of equality of citizens based on their race, nationality, region, religious beliefs, disability and other grounds);
  • 436-2.3 (justification, recognition of russia’s armed aggression as lawful, glorification of its participants).

Court chose custody without bail as a measure of restraint for the suspect.

The SSU Khmelnytskyi Office carried out the operational and investigative activities under the procedural supervision of the regional Prosecutor’s Office.
