The SBU conducted tactical and special trainings in Luhansk region to prevent sabotage and terrorist attacks at critical infrastructure facilities.

The regional units of the Security Service of Ukraine, the National Guard, the State Emergency Service, the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the National Police and the State Border Guard Service participated in the two-day trainings.

According to the training legend, a “subversive group” attempted to commit a number of sabotage and terrorist attacks at industrial facilities of Lysychansk city.

The law enforcement worked out an algorithm of joint actions to identify and neutralize conditional “attackers”. At the final stage of the training, the SBU CSO “A” jointly with other participants conducted an operation involving military aircraft to block and neutralize the “terrorists”.

The organizers of the exercises analyzed each stage, noting the high level of readiness of the law enforcement agencies to perform their tasks. 

The participants were also provided with additional recommendations on improving the algorithm of interagency cooperation to prevent relevant threats.

The exercises were carried out by the Coordination Group of the Anti-Terrorist Center of the SBU Main Directorate in Donetsk and Luhansk regions.
