The SBU CI prevented an attempt of illegal export of dual-use goods through the temporarily annexed territory of the AR of Crimea.

The SBU received information that two Mykolaiv residents tried to organize the channel of illegal movement of the shipboard technological equipment to Russia. They involved several accomplices in the illegal activities as couriers of the equipment.

During the inspection of the suspect’s vehicle at the Kalanchak checkpoint, law enforcement officers found dual-use goods, which the dealers hid among their personal belongings.

During the searches of the suspects’ residences in the Mykolaiv and Kherson regions, the law enforcement found shipboard aggregates of various function.

The seized items were sent for examination. The issue of serving suspicion notices to the perpetrators is being settled.

The investigation is ongoing to establish all the circumstances of the case.

The information on possible stealing of the seized equipment from objects of Mykolaiv region shipbuilding branch is being checked.
