The SBU documented misappropriation of almost 100 tons of fuel in Poltava region. The market value of fuel is about UAH 3 m. (USD 107,142). The fraud was organized by officials of a division of UkrGazVydobuvannya JSC.

For two years, the organizers had been misappropriating diesel fuel, allocated for heavy transport and special equipment. For official reporting, the offenders deliberately drew up false official documents.

Direct loss of UkrGazVydobuvannya JSC tops UAH 830,000 (USD 29,642). The offenders were selling the fuel for cash.

26 individuals, including current and former employees of UkrGazVydobuvannya JSC, received suspicion notices of committing felonies. Some of the suspects pleaded guilty and voluntarily reimbursed the losses.

The operation was carried out under the supervision of Poltava Region Prosecutor's Office.
