In Rivne region, the SBU found a cache of weapons. It was established that the cache was equipped by a local resident, convicted of serious crimes, who is currently in custody.

The cache was equipped in an attic of an abandoned building in a village of Ostroh district. SBU officers seized:

- an RPG anti-tank grenade;

- ammonal - almost 4 kg;

- plastid - almost 200 g;

- electric detonators - 9 pieces;

- capsule detonators - 7 pieces;

- a revolver equipped with rounds;

- rounds of various caliber - more than 1000 pieces.

The seized inventory is sent for examination.

Allegedly, the offender equipped the cache for further sale of weapons and explosives to criminals.

The urgent investigation of unlawful handling of weapons is ongoing. The SBU verifies information that the seized ammunition was illegally transported from the Joint Forces operation area.

The operation was conducted jointly with the National Police under the supervision of the Zdolbuniv District Prosecutor's Office.
