Transcarpathian region: SBU conducts special anti-terrorist drills
Special tactical anti-terrorist drills took place in the premises of Transcarpathian Court of Appeal.
According to the training legend, a conditional terrorist group seized and mined the court. The participants of the trial were taken hostage by the “terrorists”, who demanded the release of their accomplice from the temporary detention facility.
The Coordination Group of the SBU Anti-Terrorist Center engaged units of the SBU, the Armed Forces, the National Guard, the National Police, the State Border Guard and State Emergency Services, the State Service of Special Communications and Information Protection, the Judicial Protection Service, as well as representatives of executive bodies and local government in measures to counter the terrorist threat.
The anti-terrorist drills were held in several stages: after the end of the negotiations, the active phase began. Due to the coordinated actions of the security forces, the “terrorists” were detained, the hostages were freed, and the models of explosive devices were defused.
The Coordination Group thoroughly analyzed all stages of the special operation, noting the effectiveness of the forces and means involved. Based on the result of the drills, recommendations were developed to improve the algorithm of actions of units involved in anti-terrorist activities.
